The story as it is usually told is that Yeti was isolated from True Albino Teacher (TAT) by a cultivator who goes by Jik Fibs, and that it quickly earned a name as one of the stronger cubensis around. Not every detail of that lineage can be verified, but the reputation has stuck, and it is why Yeti sits in our rare tier.

In the bag, Yeti looks the part. Caps run ghost-white to pale cream, stems are thick and sturdy, and you will usually see blue bruising where the mushrooms were handled during harvest and drying. It is a strain experienced users treat with a bit of respect, and we recommend you do the same.

Potency

We do not publish potency numbers and we will not invent any, but people who have tried Yeti alongside other strains consistently describe it as noticeably stronger gram-for-gram than a standard Golden Teacher, and in the same conversation as Penis Envy. Is Yeti actually albino?
Yeti is usually described as an albino or leucistic variety, meaning it produces little to no pigment. In practice the caps range from bright white to pale cream, and some batches show a faint tan tint at the centre of the cap. Blue bruising on the stems and cap edges is normal for this variety and not a sign of a problem.

How does Yeti compare to Penis Envy?
People put them in the same potency bracket but describe the character differently. Penis Envy is often described as heavy, deep, and body-forward, while Yeti is more commonly described as clear-headed and visual with a lighter mental load. If Penis Envy felt too dense, Yeti may suit you better.

Why is Yeti in the rare tier?
Supply. Growers generally describe albino varieties as slower and lower-yielding than pigmented strains, and Yeti is in demand, so it is harder to source in the quantities we would like. The tier reflects what it costs us to keep it on the menu.
