The origin story most people tell is that it was first collected in the wild in Brazil. Beyond that, its lineage is as hazy as most cubensis strains', so we won't dress it up with lore we can't stand behind.

What we can tell you is how it looks and how people describe it. Expect medium-to-large dried fruits with long, slender stems and caramel-to-golden-brown caps that often flatten out as they mature. Experienced users tend to file it under "classic cubensis": warm, balanced, and predictable, which is why it comes up so often as a recommendation for first-timers.

How does Brazilian compare to Golden Teacher?
Both are classic golden-cap cubensis varieties. People often describe Brazilian as slightly more upbeat and social and Golden Teacher as a touch more reflective, but the differences are subtle and depend on the batch, your dose, and your mindset. If you like one, you'll likely get along with the other.

Why do some bags have bigger fruits than others?
Brazilian is known for producing large fruits, but size varies by flush and by how the mushrooms dried. A bag of smaller caps and stems, or one with some breakage, is the same product by weight. Size isn't a reliable guide to strength, so don't read a big cap as a stronger cap.
